dvd package & menu design
For this project the idea was to create a concept design for a fictitious feature film. I decided to go with a horror / sci fi theme but also give it a feel of something more thought provoking. All the artwork was done by me using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop as well as the DVD mockup. By incorporating a high contrasting color palette and dramatic imagery, I was able to produce a design that not only was visually stimulating but also made the viewer wonder exactly what the film was about.
Its the year 2420. The planet has become a dark, sunless, barren wasteland were people live in the 5 mega cities located throughout the entire planet. The world is run by a new religion of science and man made creationism. Theres just one problem: the energy from the earths core is running out that the planet now had been surviving on. Theres only one hope for mankind, the christ child. Scientists had recently discovered a planet similar to earth and have begun to create a life form to send to the new earth planet that contains all the dna of every living thing on earth. There goal is to create a new earth with all the same living organisms we had once had on our home planet of earth. The christ child will be interconnected with the space craft that will be powered by the remaining energy from the earths dying core. Only the christ child can go on the journey to save life and also to create life. Strange things happen along the journey to the new planet, spiritual encounters, strange beings and god like visions of the christ child. Will he make it to the new planet to start life once again? Or will the universe have a different plan?
